Junior I Gets a Lesson in Economics

Gordon’s mom, Rehana, visited Junior I to give the students a lesson on supply and demand.  Each child received a banana muffin, and then was offered lollipops in exchange for the muffin.  Rehana started by offering one lollipop in exchange for a muffin, then two, on up to 15.  The students realized that the muffins were in “high demand” because most children weren’t willing to part with a muffin for fewer than a dozen lollipops.  After the lesson, each child received one lollipop to enjoy at home, and one muffin for a classroom treat.

Imagine… a Great Success!

Many thanks to all parents and faculty who contributed and/or attended the Imagine…Auction 2012. It truly was a dazzling evening!!!  From the moment the guests arrived and were greeted at the door with a glass of pink champagne to the final 50/50 raffle drawing which totaled $5,000, the evening was a resounding success. Auction sales were over $70,000 and that is a new record for the Princeton Montessori School Auction. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

How Does Your Garden Grow?

The Junior I students worked hard preparing the Freedom garden for spring. They planted snowpea seeds in peat pots, and when they sprouted they planted their snowpeas in the garden. Now that the seeds have been transplanted to the garden they will watch and see how tall they grow!
