Ancient Stone Carving Techniques
8th Grade students worked with stone carving in preparation for their upcoming trip to Peru. The students each presented a scholarly hypothesis on how the Incan masons produced such amazing stone structures - where the stones fit together perfectly without iron tools. The students then used basic stone carving tools to try their hand at getting several blocks of stone to fit together smoothly....
Junior II Enjoys a Night Out
The Junior II students and their parents had a great time at the 2nd annual volleyball/”nuke’m”, pizza party. It was an energetic and fun night out!
Toddler Musical Treat
The Toddlers enjoyed a fun music presentation from Zachary’s mom, Amy, and his grandmother. Zachary is now a Primary student, but his former Toddler teachers knew that his old classmates would enjoy singing and clapping along to the violin and piano.
Primary Birthday Celebrations
The Pansy Room celebrated Philip’s 5th birthday with his Mom, Cecilia, and two sisters, Maria Clara and Sarah. Philip read one of his favorite books to the class and they all shared a special birthday treat.
Mattias’s mom and dad, Bozena and Goran, visited the Rose Room to celebrate his birthday. They read his favorite book to the class and the children enjoyed cupcakes.

Here a Peep, there a Peep...
Welcome our newest addition - 18 chicks! They are making their home in the Toddler, Primary and Elementary wings. The chicks will live in the school until April after which they will move to their permanent home in the chicken coop. Donations from several families have made this little farm addition possible. Alum Gets Baseball Scholarship

Helping Hands
In the elementary programs, students earn acknowledgements for demonstrating responsible and harmonious behavior within the school community. These acknowledgements are then added up and students can select a priviledge that allows them to further demonstrate responsiblity throughout the school. Some examples are visiting a younger classroom to be a helper or read a story to a younger group....

The Beat Goes On...
Matthew Weber attended Princeton Montessori through the end of Junior II when that was the highest level of the school at the time. He went on to graduate from Princeton Day School and then Amherst College before being awarded his PhD from Princeton University in psychology and neuroscience in 2009.

Valentine's Day Celebration Details
Toddler Students: Teachers will recognize Valentine’s Day during the children’s snack time. There will not be a valentine exchange in the Toddler program.
Primary Students: Children should bring in one handmade Valentine card for reading at the Valentine’s Day celebration. The Valentine should express the child’s feelings of love for his/her family, school, teachers, animals or friends, etc....
Mexican Fiesta!
Students in the Primary Sunflower Room enjoyed a Mexican lunch for Harrison’s birthday. His mother, Denise, brought all the fixings and the children enjoyed making their own tacos.
Starting the Day with a Song
Infant, Toddler and Primary parents and students started the day off with an upbeat sing along with Mr. Mitnick. The sing along was followed by an informal coffee for parents.

A Ton of Rhyming Fun
Philip’s dad, Sean, visited the Pansy Room to read to the children during circle time. Everyone enjoyed a few laughs while listening to a funny rhyming book of short stories.
Delicious Food, Warm Community
A very special thank you to Eve Golfinopoulos for hosting the Mediterranean luncheon for parents. It was a great chance for parents from all programs to mix and mingle over a delicious lunch in the Summit room.
