A Festive Holiday Sing Along

Taylor Hwong attended the school when the upper level was only 3rd grade. He transferred to Princeton Day School for his elementary and Middle School years, and then transferred to The Lawrenceville School for high school. Chinese Acrobats
Fabulous Chinese Acrobats performed dazzling acrobatic stunts and feats of balance, flexibility, coordination and strength for the students in Primary through Middle School. These talented athletes tumble and flip, twist and bend in mesmerizing ways, demonstrating how practice, concentration and hard work turn their bodies into moving works of art.

Middle School Visits Edison's Lab
The Middle School students visited Thomas Edison’s Lab in West Orange.  They toured his workshop and chemistry lab and saw Edison’s movie studio, the “Black Mariah,” a building that pivots on train wheels.  They also heard music from an early Edison phonograph and saw many of his other numerous inventions.

After School Creative Play
The Primary Elementary children had a blast creating a system of canals and waterways outside the sandbox. It was a messy job, but they all worked together and had fun!

Primary Holiday Visits
The children in the Rose room learned about L’Escalade, an annual festival held in December in Geneva, Switzerland. Margaux’s mom and dad, Emily and Johan, and her grandma, visited the classroom to give a presentation about the holiday. William celebrated turning five with his mom, Kimberly, and his friends in the Sunflower room. His mom read one of his favorite books to the class.  Livia celebrated her 6th birthday in the Tulip Room by walking six times around the sun. Junior I Biology
Students in Junior I are currently studying the difference between deciduous and evergreen trees in Biology.  Students took a nature walk to collect samples, then did a compare and contrast activity to discover the differences.  Many observed how the shape of the evergreen needles prevents the loss of water. A Visit to the Old Barracks Museum
