A Festive Holiday Sing Along

Holiday Giving!
Thank you for your generosity! The marines picked up several boxes of toys for Toys for Tots and a big box of mittens and hats was collected from the Giving Line for Martin House. Mt. Carmel Guild received a van full of food from the Toddler Food Drive!

Learning about L'Escalade
The children in the Primary Rose and Tulip rooms learned about L’Escalade, an annual festival held in December in Geneva, Switzerland. Mr. and Mrs. Firmenich, parents of Oliver and Stella, gave a presentation about the holiday. The children listened to a story about the celebration and watched as a symbolic chocolate pot was cracked.

Why Montessori Education?

Crescendo is well underway!
Top soil was removed from the construction road and expansion site. Silt barriers and safety fences were installed. The new driveway connection between the school and Princeton Christian Church started on Monday and this work is expected to be completed within the next 4-5 days depending on the weather. Junior II is documenting and observing the construction outside!!!

Saint Nicholas' Day
Nicholas and his Mother, Jennifer, and sister, Aerin, gave a presentation to the Tulip room on Saint Nicholas’ Day. The students learned about the tradition of Saint Nicholas’ Day which is celebrated in the Netherlands.  They tried on real wooden shoes and even made their own hats similar to the ones that Saint Nicholas’ helpers wear!

Junior I learns about Motors!
Ellie and her dad, Jonathan, gave a presentation to the Junior I class on motors and engines. Students learned about the different parts of a motor and how they work together to power automobiles and other vehicles. They even got so see parts from a real race car engine!
